Meet Dr. Zev Lazarus, Periodontist
Education & Specialty Training
Zev Lazarus, D.M.D is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Prior to attending the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Dr. Lazarus received an honors degree in biology from Touro University. This helped him develop a passion for biological sciences, which he carried through Dental school, focusing in the microbiology and immunology of Periodontal Disease. The American Academy of Periodontology recognized him with an award for excellence in Periodontology as a dental student.
He continued his post-graduate education at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he received specialty training in all aspects of Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery and received his Certificate in Periodontics.
Patient-Centered Philosophy
While being enthusiastic about the biological aspects of Periodontology, Dr. Lazarus enjoys the human aspects of his specialty even more. He strives to pay careful attention to each patient as a unique individual and tailors his treatment to each distinctive need. He enjoys meeting, getting to know, and learning from each and every patient.
Life Outside the Practice
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lazarus can be found spending time with his family. They enjoy exploring nature together; discovering fresh mountain vistas and thundering waterfalls. They enjoy baking homemade bread and delicious cakes, as it beats the alternative to doing homework.

I have only had great experiences here. Danielle at the front desk is so kind and great at her job. Every tech I’ve spoken to has also been a pleasure. Dr. Lazarus really listened to my concerns and explained everything to me about my procedure before getting it done. He followed up to see how healing was coming along and didn’t charge me for the second scan I had to do. He is professional and very good at what he does. I took my wisdom teeth out a few months later with an oral surgeon and was having post-op complications, and Dr. Lazarus fit me into his packed schedule last minute on a busy Friday when the surgeon’s office was closed. I know some people really hate dental work, but I promise you will feel safe here. It really feels like everyone cares about your wellbeing.
