Meet Dr. Zev Lazarus, Periodontist
Education & Specialty Training
Zev Lazarus, D.M.D is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Prior to attending the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Dr. Lazarus received an honors degree in biology from Touro University. This helped him develop a passion for biological sciences, which he carried through Dental school, focusing in the microbiology and immunology of Periodontal Disease. The American Academy of Periodontology recognized him with an award for excellence in Periodontology as a dental student.
He continued his post-graduate education at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he received specialty training in all aspects of Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery and received his Certificate in Periodontics.
Patient-Centered Philosophy
While being enthusiastic about the biological aspects of Periodontology, Dr. Lazarus enjoys the human aspects of his specialty even more. He strives to pay careful attention to each patient as a unique individual and tailors his treatment to each distinctive need. He enjoys meeting, getting to know, and learning from each and every patient.
Life Outside the Practice
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lazarus can be found spending time with his family. They enjoy exploring nature together; discovering fresh mountain vistas and thundering waterfalls. They enjoy baking homemade bread and delicious cakes, as it beats the alternative to doing homework.

Dr Lazarus and his entire staff, which includes Tatiana and the front desk, are above and beyond wonderful! In my personal experience, I was terrified to have a tooth extracted…his bedside manner is like no other surgeon I’ve been to! He calmed me down to the point I was somehow laughing, called me to see how I was feeling the next day… and now in the process of healing him to do my implant!
