Meet Dr. Smith

Dr. Smith graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in May 1976. A General Practice Residency followed this at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center from July 1976 to June 1977. He worked as a General Dentist in Manhattan from 1977 to 1979. In July 1979 he returned to Fairleigh Dickinson College of Dentistry from 1979 to 1981 and received a Certificate in the Practice of Periodontics.

Dr. Smith practiced the Specialty of Periodontics in Fair Lawn with Dr. Marvin Tuckman at 25-15 Fair Lawn Avenue from 1981 until Dr. Tuckman’s retirement in 2008. He continued practicing at that location, until August of 2014, when he began practicing Periodontics part-time in the office of Dr. Jerald Rosenberg at 19-21 Fair Lawn Avenue.

Dr. Smith is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the NJDA, NJSPID, Northeast Society of Periodontists, Academy of Oral Medicine, Academy of Osseointegration.

Formerly on the staff of Presbyterian Hospital in NYC, and The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood NJ. He was also the President of the New Jersey Society of Periodontics from 2004-2006.
