Meet Dr. Moisa
David Moisa, D.D.S., M.S. graduated Yeshiva College, Yeshiva University, magna cum laude, with a major in Biology. While in college, he established the Yeshiva University Pre-Dental Society, and served as its founding president.
Dr. Moisa subsequently attended the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Divisional Excellence Award in Periodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, and the Henry Chang, Jr. Memorial Scholarship for clinical excellence and academic achievement.
Following dental school, Dr. Moisa completed the prestigious Columbia University Postgraduate Program in Periodontics. During this three-year residency, he completed a Masters of Science Thesis entitled “Impact of Palatal Donor Tissue Thickness on Connective Tissue Graft Surgery Outcomes. A Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial.” He earned the Melvin L. Morris Periodontal Research Fellowship Award upon completion of the program.
Dr. Moisa served as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where he teaches Periodontics to dental students, and was involved in a multicenter clinical trial for the treatment of severe Periodontal disease.
In his free time, Dr. Moisa enjoys spending time with his wife, Rena, also a dentist, and their 2 children. They reside in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
